Make it Slow at Accrington Library
After five venues from the East Coast of North Yorkshire, over the border to Lancashire, Make it Slow has arrived at its final destination in Accrington Library. The Library is one of Lancashire County Council’s network of libraries and is one of the famous Carnegie libraries, funded by Scottish-American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. Opened in 1908, it’s a beautiful light filled space, which we’ve good use of for Make it Slow.
Part of the exhibition is housed in one of the downstairs book bays, while the other part is upstairs (with lift access, or via the stairs and stunning stained glass window) on the first floor. The First Floor @ Accrington Library is a new venue for creative activities, recently hosting the Blaze Festival and with a programme of events and performances over the summer and autumn.
Make it Slow is here until 25 October- look out for news about new activities in October- before we close for the final time.
