Last chance at Craven Gallery- closes Saturday 24 March

We’re nearing the end of our run of Truth and Fantasy: Contemporary Artists Drawing at Craven Museum & Gallery in Skipton Town Hall. If you’re thinking of catching Truth and Fantasy in Skipton, the exhibition also features a number of works from The Roebuck Collection:

Acquired by local art collector Clement Roebuck during the 20th century and bequeathed to the town of Skipton, the collection contains 145 paintings, watercolours, prints, drawings and sculpture. Ranging from the 1700’s to 1970’s, in a variety of artistic styles and works of both local interest and national importance, its eclectic nature shows and celebrates Roebuck’s instinctive approach to the visual arts. Truth and Fantasy also features a selection of objects from Craven Museum’s collections. Truth and Fantasy curator Martyn Lucas and Megan Hickes from Craven Museum & Gallery selected the pieces to be included and we worked with museum staff to display these historical items alongside the contemporary artworks.
