A talk about The Forest of Possibility- 1 June

A talk about The Forest of Possibility with exhibition curator Natasha Howes

Join us  at Craven Museum & Gallery, Skipton on Monday 1 June for a talk from exhibition curator Natasha Howes.

Howes is a curator of contemporary art with over 17 years’ experience of working in major regional public galleries and on freelance projects. She is passionate about developing engaging contemporary art exhibitions which are accessible to all.

For this exhibition, she has brought together seven artists whose work invites you to enter a world of extraordinary encounters with the forest, its ancient trees, animals and plants that inhabit it. The forest is a place of potential, where myths and fairytales are created. Sinister or enchanted, it is a space for the subconscious, for dreams or nightmares.

Monday 1 June 7pm

Alongside The Forest of Possibility you can also see an exhibition about the Magna Carta- currently celebrating its 800th anniversary- and linked with Skipton. Natasha’s talk will be followed at 8pm by a talk on this fascinating historical document.

You don’t need to book for either talk but if you need more information please contact Craven Museum & Gallery on 01756 706407, or email [email protected]
